Why this guide

Something at work has left you doubting yourself.

Maybe a manager insisted a conversation never happened. Maybe a colleague took credit for your work, then told everyone you were "confused about the timeline". This guide is written for survivors, not for HR or managers. It won't ask you to prove that what you went through "counts".

It gives you three things:

  • Language to name what happened, so you can see the pattern clearly
  • Practical steps to protect yourself, whether you're still there or have already left
  • A path back to trusting your own mind, grounded in neuroscience and psychology research

For you whether you're still in that workplace, have recently left, or are years past it and only now finding words for what happened.

Twelve chapters

From understanding to rebuilding

Chapters 1–4

Understand it

What workplace gaslighting is, the tactics, why it works, and why you didn't see it sooner.

Chapters 5–6

Protect yourself

Stabilising while you're still there, and a clear look at your options.

Chapters 7–9

Heal

The neuroscience of healing, trusting your perception again, and calming your body and nervous system.

Chapters 10–12

Rebuild

Returning to work, reclaiming your story, and your daily monitoring system.

Where to start. If you're still in a difficult workplace, Chapters 5 and 6 are the most urgent. If you've left and feel stuck, start with Chapters 4, 7, 8 and 9.

Questions

Good to know

What format is it?

A 49-page PDF you can download straight away and read on your phone, tablet or computer. You're welcome to print the workbook pages for your own use. Please keep it off work computers and work accounts.

How is this different from the workbook?

This guide explains what gaslighting is, how to protect yourself and how to heal. The Companion Workbook is a separate 90-page, 28-day daily workbook designed to go alongside it. Each works on its own.

What if I've already left the job?

It still helps. Chapters 4, 7, 8 and 9 are a good place to start, and there's a recovery-phase daily check for life after the toxic workplace.

Is it faith-based?

There are optional "For readers of faith" boxes. Every tool and practice in the book works without them, so feel free to skip them.
